About The Position

This role requires extensive travel throughout the Midwest region, up to 90% of the time, including overnight travel as business needs require. As a Field Service Technician, you will maintain modular equipment in the field at customer sites and at the branch. You will perform problem-solving maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will also perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and construction in the field of modular buildings. Update and record information on company assets and systems. Perform routine evaluations of work to be performed. Safely operate a Company-provided vehicle (<10,000lbs GVW) to travel to various locations and service modular and related equipment. Duties include installing and repairing equipment, and training customer employees on how to maintain machinery. Perform trial runs of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements

Prior experience in construction or related work required; basic electrical, plumbing and flooring with an emphasis to learn HVAC
Ability to communicate with customers regarding work status and service concerns
Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

HVAC training and experience combined with an EPA certification preferred

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs and construction in areas of but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, HVAC, roofing and electrical
Responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of themselves at all customer locations
Responsible for positive interface with the customer and ensuring the company’s reputation is improved with every customer contact
Maintain inspection log(s) for equipment/vehicle and properly report exceptions; ensure equipment is maintained to Company and safety standards
Safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures
Deliver a high-quality output consistent with the Company’s construction standards
Operate Company vehicle
Read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and company specific work orders, work instructions and floor plans provided
Work outside in variable weather conditions
Use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned
