The Field Service Technician works with minimal direct supervision in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment at the customer’s site in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” This role involves maintaining truck and crane inspection logs, completing CAT service reports, transmitting information via email, and managing customer records. The technician will collaborate with various departments to meet customer needs, communicate repair status, and mentor other technicians. A key aspect of the role is accurately troubleshooting and repairing CAT equipment, understanding electrical and hydraulic schematics, and performing component removal, repair, and installation. The technician is also responsible for determining warranty repairs, maintaining the service vehicle, and performing other duties as assigned.
