About The Position

Wavetronix is looking for a Field Service Technician who is eager to help solve customer technical problems and professionally walk them through the installation, training, and support of new and existing products. This role supports customers throughout the New England region, including Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Travel is expected approximately 60% of the time, with additional travel required based on project needs. A company vehicle is provided. This position offers a salary of $65,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a non-commissioned role.

Requirements

  • Master installation and configuration of Wavetronix core products
  • Have a basic understanding of networking
  • Have previous field service experience in traffic signal/ITS cabinets
  • Technical degree or certifications in ITS/Traffic industry
  • Have clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Be self-motivated and enjoy working on and with teams
  • Be intrinsically motivated and enjoy working with the customer
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt workflow to changing project schedules
  • Excited about personal development and eager to engage in development training
  • Willing and able to travel to multiple locations
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone, and in person.
  • Candidates should be willing to get their hands dirty and solve the customer's problem, document the problem, and teach others how they solved that problem.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits and phone support
  • Help manage all on-site installation/configuration of products
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Demonstrate and troubleshoot Wavetronix products
  • Provide technical training (typically up to 10 people) on products as needed either in the field or in office
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Enjoy being in front of customers
  • Cooperate with the team and share information across the organization
  • Document processes and produce timely and detailed trip reports
  • Keep track of current projects and support cases in CRM
