The Field Service Technician - Offshore Cranes will be responsible for interfacing with relevant departments to gain a thorough understanding of NOV products and their safe operation, testing, calibration, and problem resolution. This role involves traveling to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair, and train customers on NOV products. The technician will also perform field upgrades of software and hardware, communicate field failures and feedback, and ensure work meets company quality standards while complying with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Additionally, the role requires utilizing safe work habits and performing other assigned work-related tasks. Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities include installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing lifting and handling equipment like cranes and hoists, working with analog and digital PLC based systems, variable frequency drives, offshore cranes hydraulic/pneumatic systems, electrical systems (AC/DC motors), and mechanical systems (fittings, gearboxes, bearings). The technician will also provide training to NOV personnel and customers, and submit accurate reports on work progress.
