About The Position

This role is for a Field Service Technician IV (Deploy Only) who will utilize their technical data analysis skills and collaborate with others. The technician will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on tactical or commercial diesel platforms, supporting new vehicle launch activities for programs like the JLTV. The role requires strong diagnostic abilities and detailed documentation of root cause, repair actions, and engineering issues. Responsibilities include installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying products, as well as updating and tracking field equipment status. This is a DEPLOY ONLY position requiring overseas deployment on a 90-day rotation, working 60 hours per week. The technician will build and maintain customer relationships and provide onsite training. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Advanced understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
  • Focus in defense technology and aerospace domains, specifically targeting Radio Frequency (RF), Electronic Warfare (EW), Communications (Comms), and Tactical Networking.
  • Experience with Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), Humvee, LTV, or other military tactical vehicles.
  • Experience supporting vehicle launch, validation, or early production efforts.
  • Knowledge of Military /DoD/ DoW maintenance practices, MESL, or technical directives.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools and structured troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams during prototyping or product improvement cycles.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all field activities and equipment status.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Oversee inventory management for spare parts and tools.
  • Generate comprehensive technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Travel extensively to customer sites, potentially including international locations.
  • Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations.
  • Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to OCONUS operating location.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
  • A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience with FCC or FCC GROL ASE certification (Automotive Service Excellence), ideally in diesel engines or medium/heavy truck.
