About The Position

The Field Service Technician III - Air Compressor is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role involves attending and completing required technician training, maintaining a high awareness of industry technical changes, and possessing a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. The technician will perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, with a focus on lower-level troubleshooting. The position requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, improving work methods, work area, and safety standards, and maintaining the field service truck according to contamination control guidelines. Additionally, the role involves inspecting components to maximize reuse for cost control, completing required documentation using appropriate software, monitoring job expenses against estimates, and informing supervisors of potential cost overruns. The technician is expected to approach work positively, maintain supportive conduct, contribute to team efforts, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Formal Education High School diploma or GED
Experience 1-2 years
Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.

Responsibilities

Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations.
Wears proper personal protective equipment.
Attends and successfully completes required technician training classes.
Maintains high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry.
Maintains necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications.
Perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair with lower level troubleshooting.
Works in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
Maintains field service truck, as applicable, in proper condition by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties
Inspects components to insure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs.
Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.
Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the supervisor is aware of any cost over run, prior to the job being completed.
Approaches work in a positive manner, maintains conduct that is supportive of the work Team and sets the standard for others to follow.
Contributes to Team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
