The Field Service Technician III - Air Compressor is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires attending and successfully completing required technician training, maintaining a high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry, and possessing a necessary set of tools for job performance. The technician will diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications, performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment. This includes mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, with a focus on lower-level troubleshooting. The position involves working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly seeking improvements in work methods, the work area, and safety standards. A key responsibility is maintaining the field service truck, as applicable, following proper contamination control guidelines, housekeeping, and performing general maintenance. The technician will inspect components to maximize parts reuse for cost control and complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times. Monitoring job expenses against repair estimates and communicating any cost overruns to the supervisor prior to job completion is essential. The role requires approaching work positively, maintaining supportive conduct within the team, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while meeting safety and quality expectations.
