The Field Service Technician II - Generator is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires attending and successfully completing required technician training classes, maintaining a necessary set of tools for job performance, and diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. The technician will diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. They will work in a neat and orderly fashion, continuously seeking improvements in work methods, work areas, and safety standards. The role involves inspecting components to maximize parts reuse for cost control, completing required documentation using appropriate software to detail repairs and account for time, and monitoring job expenses against repair estimates, informing the supervisor of any potential cost overruns. The technician should approach work positively, maintain supportive conduct, and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while upholding safety and quality expectations. Additionally, this role may involve training and mentoring others and performing other assigned duties.
