About The Position

The Field Service Technician I will perform functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products. This role involves cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products. The position requires operating a fleet vehicle in a safe manner and includes direct customer contact. Additionally, the role provides 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. The Field Service Technician I will perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products, troubleshoot devices and repair any malfunctioning components, and use appropriate tools for adjustments and repairs. This role also involves generating service revenue and completing activities required under service contracts, and safely operating box truck vehicles or company cars.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and driving record
• Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Must wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products.
• Clean, disinfect, perform operational function checks, and make minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products.
• Operate a fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
• Provide direct customer contact.
• Provide 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
• Troubleshoot devices and repair any malfunctioning components.
• Use the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs.
• Provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
• Load, unload, and remove medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds.
• Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contract.
• Safely operate box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.
