Requirements

  • Four plus years of maintenance experience - servicing, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical automated machinery.
  • Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance at manufacturers specifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.
  • Initiative, critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgement and decision making, persistence, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, concern for others and leadership.
  • 80% travel during the week (Mon-Fri) during training, 60-70% travel after training

Nice To Haves

  • Mandatory preference of maintenance, installation, service and diagnosing issues/repairs on food processing and packaging machinery
  • Food Processing or Packaging Machinery experience is desired.
  • Bilingual English & Spanish skills are a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Travel 80% (Mon-Fri) away from home visiting food plants primarily in the Great Lakes region of the USA but may travel beyond that area as required. After training travel will reduce to 60-70% (Mon-Fri).
  • Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and service manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Engage with customer on site, analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate problem, and determine actions needed to restore system to performance specifications.
  • Share information with team members, customers, and your supervisor to help prioritize and keep customer apprised of corrective actions and equipment status.
  • Inform customers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
