About The Position

Assists with maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process equipment at customer's location, as directed. This role involves learning to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations, completing required documentation accurately and timely, and working with others to perform various maintenance tasks. The position requires compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations. Employees may be required to respond to after-hours requests on an on-call basis and will work under direct supervision during an initial Short Service Employee (SSE) period of 1-6 months.

Requirements

• Ability to perform all essential duties.
• Ability to develop proficiency in order to perform quality, efficient work with less assistance.
• Ability to begin to demonstrate customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English (work orders, manuals, etc.).
• Ability to follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Ability to use basic computer skills, including Internet Explorer and Outlook.
• Ability to respond to afterhours request regularly on an on call basis.
• Knowledge of or training in relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of electronics.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Demonstrated mechanical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Gas or diesel engine and compressor school / training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.
• Works with others to perform Call Outs (CO), Preventative Maintenance (PM), Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls and MOB/DEMOB.
• Performs Call Outs (CO) with assistance from a technical expert.
• Learns to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.
• Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with the Archrock Health Safety and Environmental Policy and local, statutory and/or regulatory requirements at all times.
