Position Summary: Maintain, service, and support dock equipment (including dock plates, dock lock systems, and overhead doors) at the customer location in a timely and cost-effective manner so that customer needs are met. This is a full-time, hourly position. Some overtime may be required based on customer demands.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • At least two (2) years of hands-on experience (minimum) of technical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb ladders and/or work on elevated platforms that may be 15’ to 30’ in height
  • Must be able to exert 200 ft. lbs. torque on tools

Nice To Haves

  • Strong mechanical aptitude & ability; basic knowledge of industrial electricity
  • Ability to read schematics, diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer’s specifications

Responsibilities

  • Drive to customer site, diagnose, trouble-shoot and repair dock equipment including dock plates, trailer restraint systems, and overhead doors and other equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures, maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to schedule, established procedures, and cost guidelines at customer’s facility.
  • Complete all required paperwork and time records accurately and completely follow Mobile Tech Procedures as directed by management.
  • Account for all parts, materials, tools and consumables used as required.
  • Drive and work safely in accordance with company and/or customer safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Maintain the van’s interior equipment, storage devices, service manuals and related documents.
  • Attend meetings, training classes and other company activities as required.
  • Keep an adequate set of personal tools as required by the position.
  • Work with all departments and employees to ensure quality of customer service.
