About The Position

The Field Service Technician represents the company in a professional and customer-focused manner while diagnosing product issues, completing repairs, and delivering high-quality service in customer homes and job sites. This role is critical in ensuring positive customer experience and maintaining the integrity of our products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Some experience or working knowledge of windows and doors is preferred
  • Experience in a service, construction, or hands-on technical environment is a plus
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and service software for documentation and scheduling
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook and Windows
  • Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic English
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus in certain markets
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose repair issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good judgment and ability to escalate issues when needed
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to become Aerial Lift certified within 6 months of hire
  • Frequent travel to customer homes and job sites
  • Physical work including lifting, carrying, and using tools
  • Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose product issues and perform repairs at customer homes and job sites
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, coworkers, and internal teams
  • Accurately document all service calls, observations, and completed work using company systems (iPad, laptop, or mobile device)
  • Collaborate with team members and support senior technicians on service calls
  • Safely operate hand and power tools to complete repairs and installations
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory to ensure readiness and efficiency
  • Ensure job sites are left clean and returned to their original condition
  • Pick up, deliver, inspect, and manage parts and materials for service work
  • Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and unloading deliveries as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Submit all service documentation and closing information in a timely manner
