As a Field Service Technician I at Baxter, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical medical equipment used in patient care. In this role, you will support equipment reliability across healthcare environments and ensure devices operate in accordance with performance and regulatory requirements. Your role at Baxter You will support the full lifecycle of Baxter equipment across customer sites, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role is responsible for executing service activities that reduce equipment downtime and maintain compliance with quality standards. Your team You’ll be part of a field service organization responsible for executing equipment service, maintenance, and installation activities across customer locations. The team operates in regulated healthcare environments and follows standardized procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with 5+ years of technical or field service experience, OR bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience, OR equivalent field service experience (5–7 years)
  • Experience performing equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and technical documentation
  • Computer literacy for service documentation and reporting
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation in English
  • Availability for travel and non-standard work schedules, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair medical equipment at customer sites
  • Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with defined service schedules
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using established procedures and tools
  • Execute root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures
  • Perform equipment testing, calibration, and performance verification procedures
  • Schedule and complete service activities in alignment with defined service timelines
  • Maintain service documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Travel to customer sites to perform installation, maintenance, and repair activities
