About The Position

Located in Barcelona, you will primarily support Catalonia, Valencia, the Balearic Islands, and Mediterranean coastal areas. As part of the Miltenyi Biotec Technical Service team, occasional travel to other cities and locations in Spain and Portugal, and sometimes internationally, may be required. You will be responsible for the installation of instrumentation, preventive maintenance activities, system upgrades, and execution of IQ/OQ protocols. Timely execution of corrective maintenance is expected to restore systems to full operational status, including troubleshooting of instrumentation issues at both hardware and software levels. You will manage customer communications (email and telephone) with research and clinical clients, ensuring effective issue resolution and appropriate follow-up to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Preparation of service activities prior to customer visits, including travel arrangements, spare parts management, and verification of measuring equipment and tools; maintenance and updating of the service database; accurate completion of service documentation; adherence to spare parts replenishment processes; and proper care of tools and calibrated equipment are also key responsibilities. You will communicate effectively with our sales team and application specialists, providing them with information about customer needs, and actively participate with sales teams in upgrades and service contract renewals.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Electrical engineering
  • 2 years of equipment support experience in biotech instrumentation, field service repair, fluid control systems, and system level electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
  • Excellent computer networking, troubleshooting and communication skills
  • A valid car driving license is required
  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Biotechnology is a plus
  • Flow cytometry and/or laser experience would be an added bonus
  • Speaking Catalan is a strong plus
