About The Position

Are you the new customer-focused Field Service Expert and Team Player for Valmet’s Automation Business line? Valmet is where talented professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds come together to serve the customer. Valmet is looking for an individual to perform day-to-day maintenance and repair of our analyzer equipment at a customer sites, typically within the Ark-La- Tex area, mostly within the pulp and paper industry. As a Valmet analyzer specialist, you will act as liaison between the customer and Valmet’s advanced process control group. As a Service Engineer , you will be based near Shreveport but work at multiple customer sites and provide preventive and predictive maintenance on Valmet analyzers and measurement devices. Ideal candidates will have: A bachelor’s or associate's degree in electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Chemical or Paper engineering with relevant experience. Instrumentation and controls background. Have a good understanding of paper making processes. Good working knowledge of Windows and networking, knowledge of Word and Excel. Good interpersonal skills. Our employees interact with confidence within all organizational levels. The ability to use tools appropriately and in a safe manner. Be able to lift up to 30lbs Strong fault-finding skills and a paying attention to detail. The ability to self-manage time and work with little to no supervision. Day to day activities will include: Ensure peak performance of Valmet’s process analyzers at customer sites. Daily customer meetings to determine the scope of what is needed and follow up on work that has been performed. Constant customer training and interactions with operations to be sure equipment is performing and being utilized as expected. Perform sensor correlations. Perform preventive and remedial maintenance and fault finding as needed, including daily cleaning and performance checks. Provide emergency, remote, phone and internet support to customers. Requirements
