Requirements

  • High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience
  • 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking
  • OR a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, plus 1-2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical, system hardware and software, or networking, or wireless networking.
  • Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
  • Possess strong customer service skills to ensure positive customer relationships

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of progressive experience, OR a Bachelor's degree (Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field) in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience.
  • Some IT experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to showcase expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.
  • Offer valuable service to laboratory customers in the assigned territory.
  • Provide routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
  • Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
  • Document all activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement.
  • Focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support after hours, on weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Serve as an internal technical resource that can train and mentor other FESs in the region.
