About The Position

The Field Service Engineer provides the front-line interface between ARxIUM systems and customers. Under minimal supervision and with broad responsibility, the engineer performs field service activities at customer facilities, including installation, maintenance, repair, and modification of ARxIUM systems. The role requires strong customer-centered communication skills and involves travel. Work outside normal business hours may be required to service products.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in a technical field, including mechanical, electrical, computer, or biomedical fields.
3–5 years of experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Conveyor and automation experience.
Engineering and electrical experience.
7+ years of direct field service or equivalent experience troubleshooting and repairing computerized electro-mechanical systems.
7+ years of experience in a service capacity with direct customer interaction.
Excellent customer-centered communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform software and hardware preventive and corrective maintenance.
Perform software and hardware emergency break-fix service calls.
Refine and validate PLC coding.
Work with facilities to schedule appropriate downtime for preventive and corrective maintenance.
Complete paperwork and reports accurately and on time, including ticket updates and closures, expenses, timesheets, and other administrative requirements.
Follow up on open issues, tickets, and escalations.
Perform other duties as required.
