About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Services team onsite at our customer location in Phoenix, AZ. We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Field Service Engineer to support our Microenvironments product line, including FOUPs, FOSBs, and reticle handling pods, at leading semiconductor customer sites. In this role, you will serve as a key on-site technical resource, ensuring product performance and quality while working directly with customers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will support service activities, respond to quality alerts, perform component replacements, and proactively identify risks that could impact customer production.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects
  • Strong communication skills with customer-facing capability
  • Ability to interpret technical data and make quality decisions
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% domestically

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Cleanroom experience highly preferred
  • Familiarity with semiconductor processes or precision mechanical systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support for FOUP, FOSB, and reticle pod systems within customer fabs
  • Complete incoming inspections of reticle carriers when received at the customer
  • Respond to quality alerts, field issues, and rework activities with urgency and precision
  • Inspect, diagnose, and replace components to maintain product performance and reliability
  • Generate and deliver detailed service reports and documentation to customers
  • Communicate directly with customer engineering and operations teams regarding findings and corrective actions
  • Assist in coordinating possible returns to an Entegris site for rework or investigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external tool vendors to investigate issues and support root cause analysis
  • Ensure strict adherence to cleanroom protocols and quality standards
