This role involves performing installation, calibration, repairing, and maintenance of equipment at customer sites. The Field Service Engineer will troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, assemblies, and subassemblies using block diagrams, and perform equipment upgrades. The position requires developing strong customer relationships, managing customer expectations, and overseeing day-to-day service activities at assigned customer sites. Responsibilities include working with end users to schedule tasks, reporting and tracking activities, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, compiling data for reports, and interfacing with customers on technical matters. The role exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and work is reviewed from a strategic perspective for business results. Experience with process troubleshooting is desired, and the engineer will drive key projects to improve equipment performance and meet company goals and customer expectations regarding costs, uptime, safety, and parts availability. The role also includes supporting other projects as assigned by management and performing other duties as assigned.
