About The Position

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll work at customer sites where you are the face of Clean Tech and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team. We train our Field Service Technicians to support the technology that the world relies on to ensure clean air. You are a steward of the environment when Centrotherm Abatement Systems perform to their potential. You’ll work beside global customers to install, maintain and upgrade their Centrotherm equipment, delivering world-class support for multimillion-dollar production systems.

Requirements

  • Solving complex technical problems using all resources available including procedures, equipment schematics, manuals and work instructions
  • Understanding of procedural requirements related to the handling of hazardous production materials
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Expert with using hand tools including multi-meters
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Personal focus on safety for the individual and those around them
  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in STEM or technical program.
  • Military service with 12+ months of experience considered in lieu of degree and/or equivalent technical degree experience.
  • Technical certification or trade school diploma.
  • 12+ months of experience gained through a certification, apprenticeship, or other facilities experience.
  • Minimum 2 years working on semi-conductor manufacturing equipment and support equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience operating and performing repairs and preventative maintenance in a semiconductor manufacturing or other similar industry.

Responsibilities

  • Leads preventative maintenance inspections and required corrective maintenance duties and major repairs on Centrotherm equipment.
  • Performs periodic system maintenance per customer schedules and requirements.
  • Participates in technically complex troubleshooting work.
  • Performs work routinely outside generally defined parameters.
  • Install equipment upgrades utilizing equipment documentation and work instructions.
  • Communicates with customers and internal stakeholders regarding equipment status and escalations.
  • Assists with training new employees on preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Apply sound judgement and reason to solve non-standard equipment problems.
  • Meets company and customer reporting requirements ensuring accurate logs are maintained.
  • Adhere to all company and customer safety policies.
  • Works with customers and internal stakeholders to order parts and maintain parts inventory as required.
  • Use model-based problem solving to articulate complex equipment issues.
  • Completes failure analysis paperwork, part shipping and part decontamination documentation as required.
  • Assists with developing pre-task plans, troubleshooting plans and structured problem-solving plans.
