About The Position

In this high visibility, team-oriented environment, the Field Service Engineer (FSE) provides planning and technical support on engine maintenance, systems troubleshooting, and the sustainment of support equipment, material, and processes. The FSE will interact with propulsion systems, aircraft, and engine ground test stands. This role requires close collaboration with P&W Engineering and P&W technicians, as well as military services personnel, to resolve technical and logistical problems involving propulsion system operation and maintenance. An additional objective is to mature the program’s support systems. The FSE will use self-initiative and discernment to identify problems, conduct investigations to resolve root cause, and coordinate resolution of field issues with the P&W Site Manager, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management team. The role also involves teaming with other PW on-site personnel to achieve Program, Environmental Health & Safety, Employee Fulfillment, and Quality initiatives. Ability to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments, including domestic and international travel, as well as shipboard operations, is required. The role also requires the ability to rotate first, second, and third shift schedules as needed to meet customer support and team objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Or, Associate's degree and 9 years of professional experience in turbo-machinery propulsion systems, engine assembly planning, flight/development test engineering, or engine/aircraft maintenance required, Or, 12 years of professional experience in turbo-machinery propulsion systems, engine assembly planning, flight/development test engineering, or engine/aircraft maintenance required in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in turbo-machinery propulsion systems, engine assembly planning, flight/development test engineering, or engine/aircraft maintenance required.
  • 3+ years' proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Clearance for position requirements within 12-18 months is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments.
  • Domestic and International Travel, as well as Shipboard Operations are required.
  • Must have the ability to rotate first, second and third shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives.
