Field Service Engineer - Automation Industry

ProAutomated Inc.•Arlington, TX
•$60,000 - $75,000

About The Position

ProAutomated is recruiting for its 2026 hiring pipeline for curious, adaptable problem-solvers who enjoy travel and hands-on technical work. The role includes four weeks of paid training and requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking. Employees work directly with customers across North America and are away from home while working; there is no office to report to. Travel rotations typically follow schedules of 5 days on and 2 off, 10 on and 4 off, or 14 on and 7 off. ProAutomated partners with system integrators and manufacturers rather than installing systems, supporting automation projects to ensure they work reliably. The starting salary is $60,000–$75,000, depending on location, education, and experience, with per diem, mileage reimbursement, utilization bonuses, weekend bonuses, annual merit raises, and a 5% salary increase after six months. Benefits include health, dental, and life insurance, matching 401(k), short- and long-term disability options, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months. Paid training is provided. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities

  • Support data center startups by performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
