This is a hands-on role in Field Services, focused on supporting the Recovery Field Service (RFS) and Energy Field Service (EFS) for the North American teams. The position plays a critical role in supporting customer operations and ensuring equipment is running at optimal levels. The role involves performing process and field services for a wide variety of Pulp, Energy, & Circularity equipment and products, including Utilities, Recausticizing, Woodyard, Fiber processing, and Pulping & Paper equipment typically found in a Pulp & Paper mill. Daily activities include supporting all field service activities, assisting colleagues in the field, or traveling to customer locations to provide critical hands-on support for planned and unplanned maintenance, or emergency situations. The ultimate goal is to provide the highest level of commitment and service to customers by completing start-ups, shut-downs, commissioning services, inspections, condition assessments, and ensuring equipment operates at optimum levels. This role also involves working with cutting-edge technology and tools, performing maintenance and service agreements, tune-ups, troubleshooting, and potentially supporting targeted projects overseas. The position requires outage planning and execution, emergency assistance, root cause analysis, and adherence to Valmet's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) goals and directives. The Field Service Engineer will also prepare and submit detailed service reports, work in a team environment with other engineers and sales personnel, and develop relationships with key customers while conducting service sales visits.
