About The Position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Engine Technician / Mechanic to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will make an impact by completing repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field. You will act as the front-line representative to customers, communicating repair status, explaining technical issues in clear terms, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. You will perform complete diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of customer equipment at the customer’s location, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime. You will develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. You will apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. You will assist with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens. You will complete training in line with skill and business requirements and ensure adherence to all meaningful Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to their supervisor. Requirements

  • Field Service Diesel Engine Technician / Mechanic experience
  • Experience in engine repairs
  • Ability to perform complete diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of customer equipment
  • Ability to prepare required parts and tools
  • Ability to complete required documentation (work completed, time sheets, warranty claims, quality forms)
  • Adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation
