About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Field Service Electronics Technician to join their Mobile Product Hospital team. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and test SEL products at customer sites. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify the root cause of complex issues, while also building trust with customers. Requirements

  • Two-year electronic engineering technology degree or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics.
  • Willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Enjoy working in an electronics lab work environment.
  • Enjoy solving complex problems alongside your team.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years experience in electronic design, manufacturing, or testing.
  • Working knowledge of structured programming.
  • Process improvement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot problems of high complexity to the component level on SEL products.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and products to ensure product quality and integrity.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel.
  • Partner with other divisions to satisfy the needs of our customers.
