About The Position
RESPEC seeks a Field Scientist to support environmental and solid waste projects throughout West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The role involves field sampling and supporting engineering, geologic, hydrogeologic, and environmental investigations, as well as office-based technical work. The employee will develop technical knowledge through experience across multiple industries and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in Environmental Science.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to perform fieldwork year-round, potentially for extended durations.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CAD or ArcGIS.
Responsibilities
- Perform field sampling of water, soil, air, and materials.
- Support engineering, geologic, hydrogeologic, and environmental investigations.
- Support geologic and engineering tasks in the office, including data analysis and report preparation.
- Develop technical knowledge through diverse project experience across multiple industries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
