About The Position

Hy-Tech is adding a Field Scheduler to our growing team. The Field Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing crew schedules that meet operational requirements across Hy-Tech Drilling sites. This role ensures that assignment of employees to job sites by evaluating project demands, employee skill sets, and logistical considerations, including travel and accommodations. We are looking to add an ambitious, well-rounded individual to carry out the following key responsibilities:

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in a scheduling or logistics focused role.
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and be a positive ambassador for Hy-Tech.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, developing strong relationships.
  • Perceive the bigger picture, tailoring your actions to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and provide a current drivers abstract annually.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with employees and Foremen to understand how to best assign staff to jobs that match their skill set, individual experience, and team requirements.
  • Build a schedule to meet project needs following established procedures and client requirements.
  • Attend pre-job meetings to understand job requirements and build protocols to meet client expectations.
  • Work with Contracts Manager to accommodate contract change requests by the Client.
  • Work with Training to meet pre-access requirements.
  • Assist the Field Scheduling Manager and HR with forecasting crew needs, ensuring an adequate number of staff are available to meet contract requirements.
  • Work with the Travel Coordinator to meet contract travel needs. Work with the Client for onsite accommodations and travel as required.
  • Review and distribute Crew Info Sheets to the drill crew, Crew Change email distribution group and the client to ensure all parties are aware of crew movement.
  • Follow Global Mobility Process when scheduling employees internationally.
  • Manage last-minute staffing changes on evenings and weekends.
  • Work with employees to accommodate approved time-off requests.
  • Complete site-specific reports as requested by the client.
  • Review candidates in progress with HR to determine suitable sites for their first rotation.
  • Work with HR to help establish and work toward building a crew that meets current and future staffing needs.
  • Identify and develop relationships with high potential candidates for future opportunities and maintain external industry ties.
  • Communicate and engage with incoming employees as they complete the recruitment process, leading up to deployment.
