About The Position

This role offers an opportunity to help launch a brand-new delivery partner program in the Portland, OR area. As an Account Development Executive, you recruit local businesses to join a hub delivery partner program, working closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors. You visit prospective businesses, present the program, qualify interested partners, guide them through the application process, and support community-based recruitment events. The position involves frequent local travel (up to a two-hour driving distance) and offers uncapped commission based on partner conversions.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
  • Proven outside or field sales experience.
  • CRM experience required, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in prospecting and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Experience making outbound calls and managing sales activities.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence decision-makers in a business setting.
  • High level of professionalism, enthusiasm for working with others, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage data and documentation.
  • Problem-solving skills to support applicants and address issues in the field.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience working across multiple systems and technology platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately four hours round trip on a daily basis.
  • Comfort working primarily in the field with limited direct supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in field sales is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience in roles involving sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities are beneficial for engaging a diverse range of local businesses.
  • Background in sales, customer service, account management, business development, or outside sales.
  • Familiarity with sales management practices and metrics.
  • Experience importing and working with Excel data within CRM systems.
  • Comfort presenting to groups at community events such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Visit prospective local businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance.
  • Present and pitch the new delivery partner program to prospective businesses and generate interest in applying.
  • Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them through each step of the application process.
  • Lead follow-up activities with prospects and manage a robust pipeline of leads in Salesforce.
  • Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals.
  • Import and update Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure accurate and current data.
  • Maintain consistent outbound prospecting activity, including calls and visits, to identify and engage new potential partners.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners by answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping them navigate the onboarding process.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems for applicants in the field, ensuring a smooth path from initial interest to launch.
  • Work primarily in the field (approximately 4–5 days per week) with dedicated time for follow-up and administrative tasks from home.
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism, urgency, and accountability in all interactions with businesses and community stakeholders.
