Requirements

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Possesses basic math skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • One year in KEHE operations or a related sales field (with perishable experience necessary for certain areas).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain a driving record that meets KEHE’s standards and insurance eligibility requirements for excess liability.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • If using a personal vehicle, must maintain automobile liability coverage adequate to meet the financial responsibility laws of the state(s) in which the employee operates.
  • Good time management skills in order to assist with multiple customer accounts in a timely fashion.
  • Know the assigned customer requirements, KEHE and customer policies and procedures.
  • Understand, retain, and apply product knowledge to drive KEHE sales.
  • Application of basic mathematic functions and writing skills are needed to create orders, reconcile deliveries, and maintain inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Drives KEHE sales at customer sites within an assigned territory and route through placement of product, promotional selling and effective display of merchandise.
  • Projects a positive image to KEHE customers and adheres to KEHE policies and procedures.
  • Works both independently and collaboratively with coworkers, customer’s employees and vendors.
  • Engages in product sales and additional promotional sales through service visits at customer sites.
  • Merchandises product for display and placement in a way that attracts sales at customer stores and secondary and perimeter locations.
  • Transports product from storage areas and places product onto customer shelves or displays.
  • Maintains quality and quantity of products on shelves by rotating products, checking code dates to ensure freshness and replenishing product with back stock.
  • Conducts inventory counts and reconciles orders for customer accounts by verifying accuracy of delivery records with product delivered.
  • Creates and transmits customer credits for spoiled and/or returned goods.
  • Creates and transmits orders for product replenishment and other corresponding paperwork in a timely manner, meeting KEHE order deadlines. Verifies accuracy of transmission by confirming receipt with KEHE Warehouse personnel.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service at all times when communicating with store management, personnel and the public, adhering to customer policies and procedures in compliance with KEHE’s standards.
  • Resets displays of merchandise at customer locations to enhance display of product.
  • Maintains fixture cleanliness to enhance sales.
  • Writes and stocks orders for product placement and/or issues credits for spoiled and/or returned goods.
  • Communicates with warehouse personnel and District Manager regarding product discrepancies and/or customer issues.
  • Plans and carries out daily schedules according to assigned customer locations. Travels throughout assigned territory, manages timelines to ensure completion of assigned customer and KEHE requirements, and responds to fluctuations in workload to deliver quality customer service according to KEHE standards.
  • Coordinates and communicates product merchandising needs and customer requirements with Merchandiser and Reset Specialist.
  • Operates office- and field-based electronic equipment for communications and transmission of orders and credits; operates cell phone to communicate with customers, supervisors or coworkers and for electronic timekeeping.
  • Operates motor vehicle to travel to and from customer locations throughout assigned territory.
  • Attends scheduled trainings and meetings as required to meet customer and KEHE standards.
  • Attends store inventories to verify accuracy of product counts performed by inventory crews, requesting corrections as needed. Reports and presents results of findings to District Manager.
  • Maintains clean work environment, which may include picking up trash or cleaning spills.
  • Other duties may be assigned to fulfill KEHE’s objectives.
