About The Position

Phoenix Spirit Group provides flagging, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), and traffic control equipment and rental services to contractors and DOT projects across North and South Carolina. We're looking for a driven, competitive Field Sales Representative to manage and grow our business in the Carolina’s. The ideal candidate will thrive on being out in the field, closing deals, and outworking the competition. This industry moves fast; most requests come in as “call today, need it tomorrow,” and customers expect a representative who treats that urgency as normal, not an inconvenience. This position is open to candidates residing in North Carolina or South Carolina who are within a 60-mile commuting radius of one of our branch offices located in Charlotte, NC; Fayetteville, NC; New Bern, NC; Wilmington, NC; or Greenville, SC. Regular travel to customer sites and branch locations throughout both states is required. This is a road-based role. You'll spend 4 days per week in the field visiting customers and job sites, with 1 office day (Fridays) for admin, planning, and team coordination. Within your first year, you'll be expected to manage and grow your assigned territory's existing book of business, close new accounts, and build the kind of reputation on job sites that makes customers call you first.

  • Comfortable working in a blue-collar, industrial setting.
  • Work boots and PPE are required and are standard daily attire.
  • Willing and able to conduct regular on-site visits to active construction and DOT job sites as a core, ongoing part of the job.

  • Self-motivated, resilient, and accountable, with a strong work ethic and a drive to continuously improve
  • Energized by a performance-based compensation structure and motivated by the opportunity to directly influence their earnings through results

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an assigned book of business.
  • Proactively hunt and close new accounts while retaining and expanding existing relationships
