About The Position

The Field Sales Professional role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Lincoln, Nebraska, operating between a home office, schools, communities, and events. The role requires the individual to reside in or near the territory to manage local client relationships and maximize sales opportunities. Hours may vary, and evenings and weekends may be required. Travel is primarily local to schools and organizations within the territory, with potential for out-of-the-area and overnight travel.

Requirements

Demonstrate a high level of self-direction and autonomy in managing tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
Possess excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiently prioritize and manage tasks, demonstrating strong time management skills.
Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and CRM.
Cultivate an in-home office environment that is distraction-free.
3+ years' business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) OR coaching/sports-related background.
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

Optimize full cycle sales in the assigned territory and service customers.
Represent Varsity Brands by demonstrating company core values and maintaining high ethical standards.
Provide best-in-class, consultative customer service to coaches.
Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
Actively develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
Handle rejection and persist to turn challenges into opportunities.
Navigate multiple functions within the company’s CRM, including prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
Utilize data-driven business intelligence on prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
Manage account lists and travel on location within the assigned territory.
