Field Safety Technician (D/Night Shift)
About The Position
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Field Safety Technician to help strengthen safety culture and improve hazard awareness at an advanced semiconductor facility. The role is part of a diverse safety team and focuses on identifying and mitigating risks, developing safety controls, and supporting effective workplace safety programs. The position is full-time and on-site. The schedule is a 12-hour D-shift, Wednesday through Friday and alternate Saturdays, working nights. The base salary range is $26.00–$33.00 per hour, depending on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation includes a benefits package and may include incentive compensation. Employment may be contingent on meeting U.S. export-control requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of health and safety experience, with a demonstrated background in workplace safety programs, compliance, and incident management.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science degree, preferably in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Actively pursuing or holding a professional safety designation such as ASP, GSP, or CSP.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
- Develop hazard-control designs, methods, procedures, and programs.
- Implement, administer, and advise others on hazard-control programs.
- Measure, audit, and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard-control elements.
- Evaluate regulatory compliance associated with safety programs and policies.
