Flare Construction is seeking a Field Safety Representative to provide regional safety coverage for active Civil and Gas division project sites in Utah and surrounding states. The position is based out of the Coalville office and reports to the Safety Manager. Up to 75% of the role is spent at project sites, serving as a visible, hands-on safety partner to project leadership. When not deployed to a project, the representative supports planning, reporting, and safety administration from the Coalville office. The role covers a range of Civil projects—including roads, bridges, grading, sitework, wind, solar, substations, right-of-way work, site remediation, and underground utilities—and Gas projects, including high-pressure gas lines, IHP gas distribution pipe, regulator stations, anomaly digs, natural gas system maintenance, and DOT-regulated pipeline projects. This is a physically demanding field position involving outdoor work in all seasons and weather, exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and heavy equipment, and frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and standing over extended shifts. Routine lifting is up to 50 pounds; some tasks may require lifting up to 80 pounds with appropriate assistance. Project-specific and OSHA-required PPE must be worn. Travel may be up to 75% to project sites in Utah and surrounding states, and overnight stays should be expected.
