About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property-inspection services to insurance agencies. The Field Roof Inspector is an independent contractor who conducts assessments on steep and high roofs, evaluates exterior and interior damage, and performs underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess property damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. The role involves working in varied weather conditions and interacting professionally and empathetically with insureds.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, especially steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy when dealing with insureds.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Lidar-equipped device, or ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.
