About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property-inspection services to insurance agencies, supporting claims resolution through nationwide coverage and timely, thorough inspections. The Field Roof Inspector works as an independent contractor, assessing steep and high roofs, evaluating exterior and interior property damage, and performing underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess property damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. The work calls for safe roof access, adaptability to varied weather, professionalism, attention to detail, customer service, empathy when working with insureds, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Roofing, construction, or insurance claims experience is a plus but is not required.

Requirements

• Must have a reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Must have a LiDAR-equipped device or be able to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any certifications or credentials required to join the contractor pool.
• Ability to safely inspect any type of roof and complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, empathy when dealing with insureds, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background.
• Insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
