About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides Ladder Assist and Property Inspection Services in collaboration with insurance agencies. The company offers nationwide claims inspections, including catastrophe response and direct inspections.

The Field Roof Inspector is an independent contractor who conducts assessments of steep and high roofs, evaluates exterior and interior damage, and performs underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess property damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are complete. The work may involve inspecting roofs in varied weather conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, particularly steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy when dealing with insureds.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• A LiDAR-equipped device or the ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
