About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides Ladder Assist and Property Inspection Services to insurance agencies, supporting claims management through nationwide coverage, rapid catastrophe response, and direct property inspections. The Field Roof Inspector is an independent contractor who assesses steep and high roofs, evaluates exterior and interior damage, and performs underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess property damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are complete.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, especially steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy when dealing with insureds.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Lidar-equipped device or ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any certifications or credentials required to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background.
• Insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
