About The Position

The Field Roof Inspector works as an independent contractor conducting assessments on steep and high roofs, evaluating exterior and interior damage, and performing underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess property damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. The role requires safely navigating and inspecting roofs of all types, including in varied weather conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, specifically steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Empathy when dealing with insureds.
• An entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Must have a Lidar-equipped device or be able to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or newer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any certifications or credentials required to become part of the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
