About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property inspection services in collaboration with insurance agencies. The company offers nationwide claims inspections, including catastrophe response and direct inspections.

The Field Roof Inspector works as an independent contractor, conducting assessments on steep and high roofs, evaluating exterior and interior property damage, and performing underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess property damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. The role requires inspecting roofs safely in varied weather conditions and interacting professionally and empathetically with insureds.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, specifically steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy when dealing with insureds.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Lidar-equipped device or ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any required certifications or credentials to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
