About the Program The Field Representative Development Program is a structured development experience designed to prepare early-career professionals for field-based roles supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers around the world. Participants gain a broad understanding of Caterpillar's products, services, customers, and dealer network while developing the business, technical, and relationship-building skills necessary for long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum GPA of 2.8/4.0 (if applicable)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50–75%
  • Willingness to relocate domestically based on business needs
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
  • Customer Focus: Build trust, understand customer needs, and deliver meaningful solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze challenges, think critically, and identify effective solutions.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and confidently with a variety of audiences.
  • Collaboration & Initiative: Build strong relationships, take ownership, and continuously learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in Caterpillar products, services, and customer solutions
