About The Position

Muller is a full-service sitework contractor based in Northern Virginia, delivering sustainable civil construction services across Maryland, Virginia, and DC through a technology-driven, systems-based approach. We are seeking a skilled Recruiter to join our operations. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in construction, skilled trades, or industrial recruiting, with staffing experience preferred and Spanish and English fluency. The Recruiter will manage full-cycle recruiting for craft and construction professionals, qualify candidates, attending industry and boots on the ground events, support onboarding, and serve as a key liaison between field operations and HR. This position is part of a high-performing, established recruiting team with strong systems, resources, and leadership support. We are looking to add individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to deliver results in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in construction, skilled trades, or industrial recruiting.
  • Staffing experience preferred.
  • Spanish and English fluency.
  • Full cycle recruitment experience.
  • High volume recruiting experience in Trades, Construction, and/or Professional Recruiting.
  • Experience developing and implementing recruitment strategies that positively impact time to fill, quality of hire, and other recruiting metrics and outcomes.
  • Experience with HR Systems and Applicant Tracking platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Highly motivated, independent drive, self-directed, and results driven.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and under deadline-based requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
  • Preferred four-year college degree in Human Resources or business-related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for craft and construction professionals.
  • Source and connect with hourly trades talent through job boards, referrals, events, and local networks.
  • Build strong pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill field roles.
  • Screen candidates for skills, experience, and job fit.
  • Work closely with Ops, PMs, and field leaders to understand staffing needs and timelines.
  • Stay ahead of hiring demands and flag any gaps early.
  • Share market insights (availability, pay trends, hiring challenges) with leadership.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, trade schools, and community events.
  • Help run proprietary hiring events and local recruiting efforts.
  • Build relationships with workforce programs and trade partners.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication from screening to hire to onboarding.
  • Ensure candidates have a smooth, positive experience.
  • Keep systems and trackers updated (applications, pipelines, hires, metrics).
  • Stay compliant with hiring policies and documentation.
  • Track basic metrics like time-to-fill and hiring results.
  • Partner with HR/Ops to ensure a smooth start for new hires.
  • Support early retention efforts (first 30-90 days).
  • Fill roles quickly with quality candidates.
  • Maintain strong pipelines for field roles.
  • Improve hiring speed, retention, and event success.
