About The Position

The Undergraduate Field Placement Coordinator manages all aspects of field placements (TAP, pre-student teaching, student-teaching, and internships to support the Undergraduate Education Program.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Exemplary organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in writing using standard written English including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Initiative to support growing education programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other office technologies
  • Ability to read, analyze, and apply Human Resources’ principles.
  • Ability to respond to common requests from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees and managers.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret statistical data, such as salary scales.
  • Ability to present statistical data in written reports.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others.
  • Ability to respond to individuals who may be concerned with a complaint or issue.
  • Ability to prepare reports for data utilized in department.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with educational entities that host students for TAP, field placements, pre-student teaching, student teaching and Integrated Studies internships.
  • Facilitate the complex student application process for all placements.
  • Hire, orient, and supervise a team of field supervisors for all supervised field placements.
  • Facilitate field supervisor activities, including but not limited to meetings and required paperwork.
  • Create and maintain a calendar of field work placement dates.
  • Update handbook and logbook for TAP, pre-student, student, Integrated Studies, and Education Studies teaching field placement each semester.
  • Schedule, plan, and implement four orientation meetings each semester.
  • Manage all clearance files for currency and ensure that they are submitted to placement sites.
