The position involves interviewing farmers, ranchers, and agricultural businesses in person or by phone, and occasionally performing crop counts in designated fields. The enumerator is responsible for maintaining and delivering detailed records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked. The role requires conducting work from a residence with an operable telephone, free from distractions, and maintaining a personal vehicle for travel.
