About The Position

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a detail-oriented, intermittent part-time Field / Phone Enumerator. This role supports the organization by collecting agricultural data on behalf of the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home or within your community, contributing to a nonprofit that values its employees and community. NASDA, founded in 1916, is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association representing agricultural leaders from all fifty states and U.S. territories, with a mission to grow and enhance American agriculture.

Requirements

Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline-oriented work environment.
Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions.
Ability to make crop counts in designated fields.
Ability to maintain a reliable personal vehicle.
Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals.
Knowledge about computers or iPads.
Must reside within the advertised state (Fulton, MO).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate good time management in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Organized.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

Interview farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses in person or by phone.
Travel to designated fields to perform crop counts.
Maintain and deliver detailed and legible records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, and expenditures.
Conduct enumerator work from a residence with an operable telephone, free from distractions.
Maintain a personal vehicle for travel to perform field enumerator duties.
