About The Position

Vote Blue is seeking full-time Field Organizers to build and lead canvass teams in Raleigh, NC. These teams will engage voters face-to-face to encourage them to 'Vote Blue' in the upcoming November elections. The role involves recruiting, training, and coaching canvassers, leading daily voter contact shifts, and driving turnout through Election Day. Organizers will also have personal door-knocking goals and are responsible for managing data and reporting campaign results. This position is crucial for mobilizing voters and fighting for issues like reproductive rights and democracy.

Requirements

• Based in or willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC for the duration of the campaign.
• Available to work 40–60 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, from September through Election Day.
• This role requires regular driving. All staff who drive must be approved based on their driving record, which requires a valid driver's license, car insurance, and no motor vehicle moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Previous organizing experience is a plus but not required. We welcome entry-level candidates who have demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and a track record of reliability through work, volunteer, academic, or community experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruit canvassers through calls, texts, and in-field recruitment.
• Run canvass trainings on voter conversations, messaging, and safety practices.
• Coach canvassers in the field and develop team leads.
• Keep meticulous track of your roster and shift schedule.
• Build relationships with community leaders and partner organizations.
• Knock doors on at least 3 of your own shifts each week and hit personal voter contact goals.
• Plan turf and shifts backwards from daily and weekly door and contact goals.
• Talk with voters about what's at stake this election, including reproductive rights, and encourage them to Vote Blue.
• Plan and run canvass launches and GOTV weekends.
• Ensure 100% of all messaging and legal requirements are met by the team.
• Use Google Suite, VAN, peer-to-peer texting, and relational organizing tools.
• Track doors knocked, contacts made, shifts completed, and canvasser attendance.
• Report numbers daily and write weekly reports on campaign results.
