About The Position

The Field Operator monitors and maintains equipment associated with remote compressor stations, valve sites, and pipelines. The role supports daily operations for gathering and transporting natural gas and natural gas liquids. Duties include compressor and engine preventive maintenance; assisting with compressor and engine overhauls; station loss control; testing and monitoring engine and compressor performance; and maintaining, operating, and repairing gas dehydration and processing equipment from station inlet through station discharge. The position is based in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Operate production equipment, including engines, dehydration equipment, filter vessels, environmental controls, pumps, compressors, separators, free water knockouts, gas gathering systems, and central tank batteries.
Gauge tanks and check pump action to maintain pipeline pressure within guidelines.
Collect fluid and gas samples and conduct production and fluid tests.
Provide maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment.
Monitor and maintain equipment at remote compressor stations, valve sites, and pipelines.
Perform compressor and engine preventive maintenance and assist with overhauls.
Support station loss control and test and monitor engine and compressor performance.
Maintain, operate, and repair gas dehydration and processing equipment.
Practice awareness concerning health, safety, and environmental issues.
Perform duties that may include OQ-covered responsibilities similar to those of Pigging Technicians, Pipeline Operators, and Corrosion Technicians.
