About The Position

The Field Operations Intern supports the Group Field Operations Raw Procurement Manager, Field Representative, and Raw Planner/Scheduler in procuring potatoes and performing related activities. The role is based in West Idaho, ranging from Baker City to Mountain Home, and supports manufacturing operations as they relate to raw product. The position requires travel of up to 25%.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform crop sampling to assess field quality and crop progress.
• Work with growers as directed by the Raw Procurement Manager.
• Enter crop-progress application tracking and field observations into computer systems, and complete other spreadsheets as needed.
• Record yield information by grower, commodity, and variety.
• Track and record weather data.
• Work with the harvest crew to schedule harvest timelines and locate fields.
• Assist with projects and special assignments as directed.
• Support manufacturing operations as they relate to raw product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
