About The Position

This position is for a Field Operations Assistant at the Macdonald Campus Farm/Horticulture Centre at McGill University. The role involves a variety of general farm duties, including land preparation, rock picking, seeding, transplanting, pruning, hoeing, some tractor work, and harvesting fruits and vegetables. Additionally, the assistant will be responsible for sales at the Mac Market counter and data collection from research plots, along with other duties assigned by the Chief Horticulture Technician. The position is part-time, with an estimated 35 work hours per week, and is covered by the AMUSE collective agreement. Requirements

• Authorized to work in Canada
• Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located
• English communication skills (verbal and written) at a level #2 on a scale of 0-4
• High School Diploma
• Minimal or No Related Experience

Nice To Haves

• Previous work in horticulture an asset
• Driver’s license an asset
