About The Position

The Field/Office Engineer supports Weeks Marine construction operations in Hawaii. The role provides opportunities to contribute to project startup, field engineering, scheduling, contract administration, safety, estimating, temporary-structure engineering, construction means and methods, and preparation and review of project submittals. The engineer develops knowledge of Weeks Marine’s operations, policies, and procedures and follows company and work-site safety requirements, supporting an Incident and Injury Free work environment. The position may involve work at different locations and under varying conditions.

Requirements

0–3 years of experience with a degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or Coastal Engineering.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work a 40-hour work week, with additional hours as required by the project.
Fluent verbal and written English.
Regular, reliable attendance.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Ability to work during normal operating hours and overtime and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, Primavera, and HCSS Heavy Bid.

Responsibilities

Develop knowledge, skills, and understanding of Weeks Marine operations, policies, and procedures.
Assist with project startup, field engineering, scheduling, and contract administration.
Assist with safety, estimating, and engineering of temporary structures.
Prepare AutoCAD drawings for construction means and methods.
Prepare and review project submittals.
Follow company and work-site safety policies and procedures and support an Incident and Injury Free work environment.
Organize and complete work within deadlines, working productively and safely.
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
